DAS VILLAIN Initially Innermost Station wasn't my favorite when it was released by in 1997. At the time in 1997, this release sounded to generic for me in lieu of all the great-and mostly dark-electronic music during the 1990. However, in the 27 years since owning this release (and re-listening to it over and over during that time), my critique has changed. It's a really great synthpop album of introspective lyrics, softer synths, and a happier(?) tone.

Mike Schiller I have always liked Cause & Effect since the early 90s... very happy they have a page on Bandcamp where I was able to complete my collection. Listened to this album, loved it. Hope they keep making more music!

Eclipse 05:01
Where we going from here Well I don't know It seems we fell down the stairs We're now below And do you think that she'll call My heart says no Another bridge that has burned We can't get home Where we going from here It brings me down Where we going from here The queen's skipped town Prima Donna in flares So strong, right on Ego bigger than fair Eclipsed the sun It won't fly the wings are wet with rain It won't fly and I'm the one to blame How did I come to be here This suit is wrong These aren't my dreams or my fears I don't belong Suddenly she appears But then she's gone Celestial dollars and tears We're all alone It won't fly the wings are wet with rain It won't fly and I'm the one to blame (Do you understand)

Generation 03:19
Everybody meet in the field at the top of the hill No need to bring your guns Though we've got some time to kill This place is to the point when we need to have a little talk Leave your shiny cars at home Don't you think it's time we learned to walk And learned to talk Everybody meet to give praise to the sky and the sea No need to bring your coins We'll do it all for free Who made the awful rule to make the grade just make the green Burn down the shopping malls Don't you think it's time we learned to walk And learned to talk Let's start over This world is over Let's start over This world is gone Everybody meet in the field at the top of the hill We'll talk of cyber, x, commercial overkill Pre-packaged generation in a colored cardboard box Destroy the TV screen Don't you think it's time we learned to walk And learned to talk Let's start over This world is over Let's start over This world is gone

Let me be the one Let me find an answer Let me kiss the sun Happy ever after Something that once saved me Is just about to break me So climb the stairs with me The air will be much clearer We'll stand above the trees The sun and truth much nearer Some things deep inside us We need to teach to fly And so we'll get up on the rooftop And scream out our desires They can keep their heaven I'll stay down near the fire We'll get up on the rooftop And scream out our desires The world is ours Let me be the one Let me find an answer Let me kiss the sun Happy ever after Something that once found me Is moving in around me And so we'll get up on the rooftop And scream out our desires They can keep their heaven I'll stay down near the fire We'll get up on the rooftop And scream out our desires The world is ours

Mars 04:10
Life has taken it's turn She could love me this way until I cry She's lifting me up from the depths of my mind Reigning above all royals unkind Red planet's alone, abandoned in prime Please won't you sell me We're moving around but we're going nowhere Life is not only ours See her shoot across the sky with a smile She's holding the clay that's come here from mars Sustaining the cells that colonize stars But where will we be when gravity dies Please wont you tell me We're moving around but we're going nowhere We're falling in love

Radiolaria 02:31

With a bottle of wine and two friends of mine We could head to the hills There's no need for those pills Under fractal trees and a fractal sky we are everything All she needed was, was a push from us Now she's learning to fly She's so gone but so am I Both of us been learning to fly She's so gone she'll touch the sky And now I don't know what I'm feeling Can't remember feeling this high We're not in a black room, she's still seeing the truth Could the teacher be wrong? Could the teacher be gone? So take a bite from the bag Make the aliens glad their not wasting their time As we ride on the swing, hear the fire bells ring 'Cause the Bantam won't fly She's so gone but so am I Both of us been learning to fly She's so gone she'll touch the sky And now I don't know what I'm feeling Can't remember feeling this high There's a dog by the tree and he's spying on me All the neighbors agree, "Don't be talking to me" Cause under fractal trees and a fractal sky we are everything

Real? 04:46
Don't you know it's just my luck Seretonin's all dried up And I can't afford the cure Pop the capsule, right the wrongs Analogue, she won't be long I can ride along blue green tonight But I don't know Why I don't know The older I get the less I feel I Don't know what I want I Don't know what is real Don't you know it's all a joke Sell the band to sell the Coke® Sell your life and move away Is this real or just machine Are those eyes or only screens Does it matter what you see tonight Oh I don't know Why I don't know The older I get the less I feel I Don't know what I want I Don't know what is real Don't you know it's just a pose Did you hear that heaven's closed To re-model and upgrade When they come oh don't you know I will be the first to go Sit with me we'll watch the skies tonight Oh I don't know Why I don't know The older I get the less I feel I Don't know what I want I Don't know what is real
8.
Leaded 03:28
How long will you run away From the words that you need to say It's getting so much further everyday You're swimming upstream the rivers of lead Picking at wounds where the poison bled But how much further will you go 'Cause you're tongue tied and you're soul cries on the inside How far will you go Been living a lie with your Hollywood life To take your disease to the highest high But how much further can you go You're caught in the path of industrial wheels The crush of the joke, yeah I know how it feels I think it's best to let it go Cause you're tongue tied and you're soul cries on the inside How far will you go

Overdose 09:51
Tonight the moon is falling from the sky Like superstars denied another try Only you can seem to tell me why Don't cry Tonight I'd like to drink myself to sleep Or lay beneath Kenievel's final leap Sometimes the hole I'm in just seems so deep Don't cry you say Don't you go Won't you stay I feel cerebral meltdowns on the way God may come But God don't stay Take away these walls around me Take away my head Cause it's crashing in on me, Oh no I know the high precedes the awful low I know the yes sometimes becomes a no I know you need the blue before the gold Don't cry you say I could overdose on you tonight We'll walk the streets until it's light I could overdose on you tonight You could be my fix for tonight Don't you go Won't you stay I feel cerebral meltdowns on the way God may come But God don't stay Take away these walls around me Take away my head Cause it's crashing in on me, Oh no
